ALTERNATIVE FORMATS OF COMMUNICATION

Alternative formats of communication allow us to be able to communicate with people who may not be able to communicate with any spoken language. For example, Deaf people, those who are deaf/blind, people with learning disabilities and those who are classed as disabled. Under the Equality Act 2010, we understand that appropriate provision and reasonable adjustments should be in place in order to provide access for all members of society including those who are registered as disabled. Below are a number of different methods of alternative communication that we can provide here at Language Empire to ensure that you can provide inclusive and accessible information for any patient that you provide a service to.

We can advise on any of the below formats in more detail if this is required. Some formats suit one type of impairment/disability more than another, as an indication:
